ARCHIMEDES at AAM 2025

On 15 October 2025, AdvanTec presented ARCHIMEDES during the Advanced Air Mobility Forum (AAM) 2025 – UAS in the AAM Ecosystem. The event, held at AERO-Bildungs GmbH in Gilching, focused on the role of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) within the broader Advanced Air Mobility landscape, highlighting their diverse range of potential applications.

A particular emphasis was placed on civilian drone defence and the protection of critical infrastructure. Airports, energy plants, public authorities, and industrial facilities are increasingly becoming targets of unauthorised drone activity, whether accidental or deliberate. The forum offered in-depth and practical discussions on how such facilities can be effectively safeguarded, the relevant legal frameworks, and the systems currently in operation or development.

ARCHIMEDES was represented through a roll-up poster display and featured in discussions at AdvanTec’s exhibition space. The project also sparked several engaging conversations with participants from both industry and research sectors.
