ARCHIMEDES Unveils Rescue Robot Demonstrator Video

This new video showcases the ARCHIMEDES Rescue Robot Demonstrator, a cutting-edge innovation in emergency response technology. Developed through a collaborative effort, this robotic system is designed to enhance search and rescue operations in hazardous environments.


The ARCHIMEDES initiative focuses on creating long-life, efficient, and dependable systems tailored for emergency response, mobility, and industrial applications. Spearheaded by Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH, the Rescue Robot Demonstrator is the result of a partnership with Montanuniversität Leoben, ITML, Infineon Technologies, OTH Amberg-Weiden, iCTLab, Harokopio University of Athens, IMA, PUMACY, Lionizers, and AVL List. The Rescue Robot Demonstrator introduces advanced technologies aimed at addressing key challenges in emergency response.


The primary use cases include:

  • Search and rescue operations in hazardous environments.

  • Hazard sources and survivor detection in harsh conditions.


By integrating state-of-the-art technologies, the ARCHIMEDES Rescue Robot sets a new standard for autonomous and intelligent emergency response solutions.
